Five Game Series that DESERVE a Comeback

You've read the title, so you know what this is. These are five game series that DESERVE a comeback.

1- Gunstar Heroes

You'll be hard pressed to find a more action packed Run N' Gun than Gunstar Heroes for the Sega Genesis. Honestly, Gunstar Heroes is INSANE in a good way; you're blasting away bad guy after bad guy without ever taking a breath using a wide assortment of equally crazy weapons like a flame thrower, a homing laser, a scattershot, and others. The boss fights were something else, too! You were always going BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM but the boss never ever let up!

All in all, I think that the game not only still holds up to this day, but its very premise DEMANDS a series. I want a NEW Gunstar Heroes, with HD-2D graphics, dozens of sprites on screen, and SUPER HARD bosses! Make it the Dark Souls of Run N' Gun!!!

2- Crazy Taxi

As far as I care, Crazy Taxi was the last GREAT arcade game ever made. You had super fun gameplay, you had KICKING music (can't ever go wrong with The Offspring!) and for its time, the graphics were top notch! This was a fun game!

I think that the Crazy Taxi formula not only still holds well to this day, but that if you were to make a NEW game, it'd sell well. I think that a Crazy Taxi 4 that has customizable characters, PVP, and a kick ass soundtrack that focuses on punk, pop-punk, and heavy metal will sell like hot cakes!

3- Shining Force

With the not-too recent release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the recent release of Triangle Strategy, it's safe to say the SRPG genre is lucrative enough to warrant more variety. I think now, more than ever, it's safe to make and release a new Shining Force game.

The original Shining Force, as well as its sequel, are both available on the Genesis emulator for Nintendo Switch Onlime Premium subscribers. I've played them; their gameplay STILL holds up, thirty years later! So yes, I do think there's a market for an ACTUAL Shining Force reboot! And I mean an ACTUAL Shining Force SRPG reboot, not some baloney Action RPG or whatever!

4- Breath of Fire

Capcom's least appreciated franchise besides Darkstalkers. The Breath of Fire games generally tend to be, AT THE VERY LEAST, grossly overlooked gems that have the misfortune of being overshadowed by bigger names in their generations, mostly Final Fantasy. In my honest opinion, the series can stand toe to toe with Final Fantasy easily.

There WAS a Breath of Fire 6, but it was released on phones, chapter by chapter, and it got discontinued before it was finished. So... bleh. GIVE US A REAL BREATH OF FIRE SIX!!!

5- Darkstalkers

It's been nine years since the underperformance of Darkstalkers Resurrection led to the cancellation of Darkstalkers 4, and I'm STILL pissed about it! Not at the fans or the consumers; at Capcom themselves! The Darkstalkers franchise is a solid fighting franchise; but because it can't pull Street Fighter numbers, it gets pushed aside! But Capcom STILL uses the characters, ESPECIALLY Morrigan! Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE STILL POPULAR!

GIVE US DARKSTALKERS 4, CAPCOM!!!
